Supported File Types

The file types analyzed by the CodeHunter Platform are:

• Windows executables (x86/x64)
  • .exe, .dll
• Documents:
  • .docx, .doc, .docm
  • .pptx, .ppt, .pptm
  • .xlsx, .xls, .xlsm
  • .pdf
• Archives (can be password protected with the standard password `infected`)
  • .zip
  • .tar

We are constantly evaluating our support for files and adding additional file types. If you encounter an issue while ingesting a file or would like to request support for a new file type, please contact CodeHunter Support at support@codehunter.com.

Uploading Files Manually

To manually upload a file, follow the steps below:

1. Click Upload File on the left side of the page. 

2. Click inside the field to upload a file from your system. 

3. Once you select a file, its name will display in the field. Click Upload & Scan to start the upload.

Wait a moment while the file uploads. 

When the file finishes uploading, you will see a green banner on the bottom right corner of the Status Summary table as confirmation that the file has uploaded. 

The uploaded file will display in the Status Summary table.
